What is 3D authentication?
“3D authentication” service adopts the 3-D Secure technology accepted worldwide. The advanced encryption technology is used to prevent unauthorized persons from access to confidential information of card holders and protect personal information from being intercepted, in order to ensure information is transmitted completely and confidentially. The service is promoted by VISA, MasterCard and JCB, providing card holders with a safer online transaction environment. When you shop online, you have to enter a 3D authentication code before completing the transaction. By doing so, you get more protection against unauthorized use of your card.
■When do I use the credit card 3D authentication?
If your card issuer joins the credit card 3D authentication system, an authentication window will pop out while you are paying with a credit card. You have to enter the authentication code to complete the payment. The additional authentication process makes your transaction much safer!
■ How should I complete the payment if I do not want to use the credit card 3D authentication?
If you do not want to apply for an authentication code, we suggest that you shall pay with a credit that is not registered with the 3D authentication program. We still have the SSL128 encryption mechanism to protect safety of credit card payments.
■ What should I do if I forget my personal code?
If you forget your personal code, please contact your card issuer to reset the code. For further details, please make enquiries of the card issuer. If you have any question about registration or process, you may contact the customer service of the card issuer in person.
■ Why does online payment fail?
If the system of your card issuer is busy or the network is congested so as to make the waiting time longer than expected, the authentication system may confirm payment failure.
The card number or related information you enter is not correct. For example, the information you enter is not correct, the card you use has expired or has not been activated, or the effective period is not correct.
You may have exhausted your credit limit. Please contact your card issuer to increase your credit limit.
You just made the card payment, but the payment has not been transferred to the bank account. If so, the bank will temporarily prohibit your online credit card purchases.
